Bayangkan sebatang pokok, Bila dijaga dan dipenuhi segala keperluan maka teguh la ia. Namun kadang-kala pabila agin kencang meniup, maka terhuyung-hayang la jadinya.
Dan hanya dengan akar yang dalam dan kukuh akan menegakkan ia kembali.
Before i began with the boring themed-self-reflections, I just want to firstly mention that I am grateful to Allah s.w.t for providing me and the family with a responsible father. Syukur ya Allah!
Today was the second year of Raya outing with the primary school buddies and it went smoothly regardless of the hiccups during organisation. It was nice to finally see everybody in their best outfit as well as meeting new people. So what's the relevance between the video and this post? Well I realised that amongst the 6 of us who came today, I was the only one without a partner. I guess I'm better off as the guy who has a girlfriend, bestfriend and advisor as the wife kind heh ;) Everyone's probably settling down in a few years time and hopefully me included (God willing). This song is a reminder to all husbands as well as husbands-to-be, please look after your family well because your actions or lack of actions will not only affect the reputation of your race and religion but also be accounted for in the Hereafter. May Allah give us strength, guidance and patience. Amin.
Organising this year's raya outing was exceptionally challenging with the lack of response on confirmation of attendance. Disappointed with the attitude yet satisfying when everything went as planned (?)
I might have mentioned this verbally last year but this year I'm recording it down - "I am giving up the organising seat for anyone else who is more willing and capable for next year's Raya Outing."
